Helping our vulnerable neighbors

One of the great organizations a number of Cypress members work with is Hope in Our City. This is a note from Ben for how you can help with their work.

During stressful times such as these, we are so thankful for the support Sun Valley has from so many people around the Denver metro area.  We know that God ultimately is in control even when it is hard to see or feel it. Many have expressed a desire to help, so we are sending out a few ways to do that.

Children are out of school for the next few weeks, some parents are unable to work, and most have been unable to get needed supplies at stores.  For those who have items or want to shop for items, here is what most families have expressed assistance with:

  • toilet paper (this is a huge need for most families)
  • hand soap
  • hand sanitizer (many residents need to take the bus to work or to the store)
  • paper towels
  • gift cards to king soopers or walmart to buy needed grocery supplies

If you have any of these items, please email Courtney at cgingras@hopeinourcity.org to arrange dropping them off.

Donations are a huge way to support our work and give us the freedom to assist families as those needs are presented to us.  If you would like to make a donation, please do so online at www.hopeinourcity.org/donate.

Please keep praying for wisdom and for God to guide us through this time.

Thank you for loving your neighbors on the margins.
